What should you consider before buying rugs?

When you are considering buying online rugs, you are likely to feel a little overwhelmed by all options. Rugs come in many sizes, and colors with many different types of fibers plus the different ways in which they are made. These are some of the things you should consider before buying the carpets for your floor.

Natural fiber rugs

Natural fiber comes from plants or animals. Some examples are coconut, wool, hemp, sea grass, bamboo, sisal, and silk, to name a few.

  • Wool rugs

Wool rugs are usually a bit more expensive than their synthetic counterparts, but generally last much more, they work better, apart from some mute fibers. Wool is much warmer, there are many wool rugs and carpets with hand tufts in the market that are usually thicker than those of the machine.

An advantage of wool carpets is that they will not burn easily. Wool is the oldest natural fiber, most Persian and oriental carpets are made of wool.

  • Sea grass/ coconut

However, grass/coconut carpets/seagrass are anti-static, fire retarders, durable, and UV-protected and are suitable for high traffic areas such as corridors, entries, and family rooms; Be careful with spills, since moisture can cause the jute to decompose, and these carpets are not very easy to clean, the use of a good carpet spray protector would be a good idea for their tranquility (mats jute hand yarns, etc..)

  • Silk

Silk, of course, is not so durable and better used in low-traffic areas, such as formal rooms, can also do excellent wall problems. If you or a family member has allergies or chemical sensibilities, you will want to choose natural fiber rugs and carpets. Unlike synthetic fibers, they are commonly made with synthetic dyes or chemicals.

Synthetic fiber carpets

Synthetic fibers do not come from plants or animals, they are made by man. These fibers have been manufactured by man; Some of the materials used for synthetic rugs and carpets are nylon, polypropylene, acrylic, and polyester. These fibers are strong and have a certain amount of water resistance, so they are made to last more than some of their natural fiber counterparts. They can also be stained and resistant to fading, depending on how they were done. They can generally receive a little more beating, but only if they are of good density that is at least 1 million fiber points per square meter.

Each has its pros and cons; Each comes in a wide variety of sizes, colors, and styles, so you will surely find one that fits your own personal tastes and the general decoration of the home.

Do not choose the cost only, since it usually obtains what it pays. A carpet that is of low quality will not last so much, you can pay less in advance, but you will pay more when you have to buy another in just a relatively short time. Keep in mind what the carpet will be used and how much traffic you will get. In other words, do not choose a silk carpet for your entrance or your family room. It is a good idea to think about the traffic areas where you have to fit with the type of fiber you choose.
